Weight Loss Success Stories
W****** was enrolled in program in October of 2024. His weight was 218.5 pounds. His current weigh is 142.4 pounds. The patient has lost a total of 76 pounds in the last 10 months. Patient also reported that his HA1C was at 10 and it is now 5.2.
I spoke to Miss R*** today, she has been losing weight on GLP-1 medication and feeling much better with balanced BP levels. She lost about 15 lbs before GLP-1 medication by reducing alcohol intake and increasing protein, and since she started using GLP-1 medication and focusing on her protein intake she has lost another 60 lbs. She went from 230 lbs to 155-160 lbs and her A1C has improved as well from 6.8 to 5.5.
I have a very motivational story to share of one of my patients J****** whom I have had the privilege to get to know over the past 6 months. J****** has done an amazing job with her weight loss journey and now has officially reached her goal. She is 194 lbs down from 221 lbs 8 months ago. A total of 53 lbs total since November 2021. Her BMI in January was 37.92 and now it is 28.6, reversing her “obesity” classification. J****** followed a strict regimen of eating mostly vegetables, intermittent fasting, and physical activity. She is proud to have gone down 6 dress sizes and now needs to have her entire wardrobe adjusted. She remains motivated to maintain her weight loss and promises to stick with her regimen. We wish J****** all the success with her maintenance phase as she moves forward!
From the beginning, J*****'s health goals have been focused on weight loss and when we started working together she was at 163 lbs. By watching the types of food she is consuming and by incorporating intermittent fasting, she has been able to lose 27 lbs (at our last visit, according to her records, she is at 136 lbs and she is maintaining that weight loss. It has been slow but consistent and she is starting to look at food and eating patterns in an entirely different light. Her success has prompted her work colleagues to ask what program she is on and how can they join. So excited for her! — I don’t want to forget to mention her increased activity which has helped her to build muscle and to improve areas of her health outside of weight management. Congrats to J*****!
Ms. T****, started with the RPM program in May of this year and initially was feeling discouraged since she was not eligible for GLP-1s to lose weight. Despite this, Ms. T**** remained opened minded and was always open to diet recommendations. Ms. T**** started the program weighing 205 and is now down to 180!! This has shown me that the resources that our RD's share with us can be very helpful.
J*** had a weight goal of 180 lbs (weight loss). She began at over 190 lbs. She has now surpassed her weight goal, weighing 177.3 lbs and is very happy with the loss. She now has a new weight goal of 175 lbs, and is overall very satisfied with where she is.
W***** started the program at the end of August and to this date (and through all the device issues) he has lost 20 lbs. He is a true champ!! He enjoys working with his RD and follows all of her recommendations. He walks for 45 minutes daily. When I asked him if he has started to buy new clothes, he laughed and said I still have clothes from 25 years ago!! He is such a pleasure to work with!! Can we clone him!!
Miss K****** has been eating a low-carb plan and focusing on high-protein foods and complementing with vegetables. She has lost about 16 lbs. She is motivated and wants to continue to lose weight. She was told by her Dr. that she reversed diabetes.
I wanted to share the success of my client M****. By changing some eating habits and adjusting her meal times to incorporate intermittent fasting on some days, she has been able to lose 15 lbs since June. She stated she might even do a cartwheel in Dr.’s office at her next visit!
P******* has had an 8 lb weight loss since the last RD assessment, meeting the criteria for "healthy weight loss" and she is very happy with her weight loss. She attributes this to changing her grains to whole grains, par boiling brown rice and removing the water to reduce starch, and is removing the skin from chicken. She was very encouraged and happy when notified of her weight loss today as she did not even realize it.
S***** has lost 11 pounds, from 190 lbs to 179 lbs. This is attributed to dietary changes (reduced starches, breads, pasta, rice, sweets; increased vegetables and fruits) and increased physical activity (30-45 min morning walks, more walking throughout day).
The patient expressed significant satisfaction and gratitude for the Chronic Care Management (CCM) and Weight Loss programs. He specifically acknowledged his dietitian's support, stating that she has been a tremendous help, and he looks forward to future discussions with her regarding his diet and exercise regimen. The patient also reported a weight loss of 10 pounds to date.
